| So, what's been going on in my life, you ask?
No, you didn't ask?
Well, I'll tell you anyway.
I went to a concert on the 15th - Disturbed, Lacuna Coil, Killswitch Engage, and Chimaira. It was pretty amazing, if I do say so myself. I had to go up and down the stairs so many times, though. Ugh. The Tsongas (Song-ass, for those who don't know how to pronounce it) Arena is normally used for hockey, so they have penalty boxes on both sides. My mom got us front row seats right behind the penalty box, first row. It was general seating, so you could sit where you wanted. Anyway, the seats were amazing.
Lacuna Coil came on first, and were totally amazing. Italians say "Massachusetts" funny. :P Their set only made me realize just how much Cristina Scabbia owns Amy Lee on all fronts: talent, beauty, amazingness. I didn't know most of their songs, but that's okay. I'm going to buy their second album soon.
Killswitch was on next, and the bassist was hilarious. At one point, he said "Thank god for the Rays, because without them, we'd be in last place for the division" XD. You see, Killswitch is from the good 'ole MA. They were good, a little too screamy.
Chimaira was third. I missed, like, half their set getting nachos. Too screamy for me.
And last was Disturbed. They were fucking FANTASTIC. They were totally amazing. I can't even describe it. The most memorable part was when they did their encore. They did "Down With The Sickness" last. And the band started playing, but David was nowhere to be found. When everyone screamed, we looked over. HE WAS ON A FUCKING BOX, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR. Well, it was a tall box, made for him to stand on, but still. They did my favorite song first, "Voices". They did mom's fave, too. But not Sarah's. I didn't buy any paraphenilia, which is odd. But I didn't want to get out of my seat. =)
Monday the 20th was the third anniversary of my grandfather's death. Erik and I are going to go see him this weekend. Even after three years, I can't talk about him in the past tense...
Yesterday, I had an interview at Target. AND I GOT THE FUCKING JOB. Yay!!!!! I'm going to be a cashier, but whatever. I couldn't get into electronics, so... at least I got my foot in the door. :P
Erik and I have been together for a year and a half, already... it's weird. I never thought I'd be able to say that about anyone. It's amazing.
Today, Twins/Sox double header, before they move on to absolutely SPANK the Yankees, haha.
